Impression
You can see three Hawaii waterfalls on Big Island in a few hours drive. Pe’epe’e Falls is not very impressive and you can only see it from a distance unless you manage to walk down to it someway. Akaka Falls is impressive and a short walk to get to. Hi'ilawe Falls was the most impressive for me but you cannot get close to it, the path is marked off as an ancient burial ground. You can only see Hi'ilawe Falls from a residential road. From the bottom you can also get to the beach. The walk up and down into Waipi’o Valley is very steep.
